The Airflo Airlite V2 Fly Rods are a sublime blend of modern materials and exacting tapers culminate in what is without doubt a seriously competent trout fishing rod. The light, modern graphite is complimented by lightweight single leg snakes and a silky black reel seat with small and subtle black EVA fighting butt. They have a breathtakingly smooth yet powerful action, leaving you feeling in total control of every glorious cast!
The Airlite V2 Fly Rods come with a free Airflo Ridge 2.0 Fly Line worth £99.99. Please order your rod as normal, and we will supply a line weight to suit your rod choice. The 10’ rods have been specifically designed for the modern stillwater anglers growing armoury of fly lines. The 6 weight has a refined smooth action perfect for top of the water tactics and protecting finer tippets. The 8 weight is the beast aimed at the competition angler who likes to pull. The 7 weight is the true all-rounder from floating line right down to the heavy artillery Di 8.
Those that prefer the shorter 9’6 rods can choose the 5 weight which has been specifically designed as a stillwater dry fly rod where small flies and fine tippets are required for those spooky fish. Or, the 6 weight which has a bit more back bone for throwing intermediate lines and strike indicators.
The blank itself is now a more versatile 4 piece model, its slimmer & feels lighter in the hand and by tweaking the action further is even more responsive than the original.
Airflo Competition V2
The Airlite V2 Comp Special models are a high-performance rod designed for serious stillwater and competition anglers. Building upon the success of the original Airlite series, the V2 Comp Special range incorporates modern materials and refined tapers to further enhance casting performance and sensitivity.
The Comp Special features a powerful mid-tip action, along with a beefed up butt section that provides precise control over casts, especially at short range with long leaders from the boat, and enhanced fish-fighting abilities. The light, modern graphite is complimented by lightweight single leg snakes, and a silky black reel seat with small and subtle black & red EVA fighting butt.
